Trust us. We're non-professionals

You may have stumbled upon this site while searching for a coalition of cookie-haters, or you may be here because we whined and whinged at you until you finally caved in and decided to visit. Either way, we're cool with you although we do have to point out that we're not against cookies, but against cookie-cutter monotony.

I'm really trying to search for a hip way to say "we're by the people for the people", but in essense, that's what we're about. We are not proffesional writers, although some of us may aspire to be. We don't calim to be citizen journalists, but instead we want to tell you about what we like and dislike. It's simple really, and the great thing is, you can write for us as well.

There a couple of things you need to keep in mind while pitching to us though.

1. Take a look at the site. We're pretty flexible with what you pitch us, but it does need to feel as if it belongs on the site. No rants about China's growing investment in Africa or Obama's healthcare plan. You want to do that, get your own blog.

2. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible, but don't get disheartened if you don't hear from us for a while. We all have part-time or full-time jobs, so we're kind of busy.

3. Please, we only accept serious submissions.

4. Keep your articles to 700 words. If we want more out of you, we'll get back to you to see if you can write more.

Now for the legal stuff.

We are a non-profit website which for moral reasons does not accept payment for work. If you feel that we have infringed upon your rights as a content holder, or holder of intellectual property please do get in touch with us so that we may work through the issues. It is not our intention to profit from your hard work, and if we are, we're mortified. As such we do not take responsibility for the infringement of intellectual work by individual authors but do take the upmost care when selecting articles for publishing. We use images under fair use, as the images are used for the purpose of commentary and criticism. If you feel this is not the case, please contact us.
